Artists’ residence
ARTIST RESIDENCY
Artist residencies are an international program, developed worldwide, that provide artists, creators, and researchers with space, time, and resources to create in an exceptional setting.
The activities of residencies can be described as defined and organized interactions between creators, institutions, and cultural organizations, united by the shared goal of supporting artists (researchers, creators), strengthening institutional activity, and offering society the opportunity to experience not only the final project but also the creative process. At the same time, they give creators the chance to seek inspiration in unusual yet extraordinary places.
VISION – To be among the leading art and science residencies located in a historic rural environment.
MISSION – To provide space for the creative process of artists and researchers, fostering dialogue between historical memory and contemporary culture.
GOALS:
01. To encourage creative and scientific collaboration by offering artists and researchers (hereinafter – Residents) a unique space for research and creation within the historical and cultural context of Central-Eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea region;
02. To provide Residents with a professional environment and conditions for creation, promoting innovative and original projects;
03. To support the development of Residents’ creative work and research;
04. To support projects that reveal the significance and importance of manor houses;
05. To ensure that the Residency is open to the local community and engages it in Residents’ activities through public exhibitions, educational workshops, and meetings;
06. To foster international collaboration and exchange among residency participants, increasing the Residency’s visibility worldwide;
07. To create an environment of maximum tranquility for conducting research.
