Excursions
We offer four ways to learn more about the history of Panemune Castle:
I. Guided Tour (Residence, Kitchen, Exhibitions)
The castle guide introduces participants to the history and present-day of the castle, guiding them through the representative apartments, the historical kitchen with its pantry-turned-pharmacy, and presenting art exhibitions within the castle.
- Suitable for individuals and groups of up to 30 people.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
III. Role-Playing Tour “Friday in the Castle of the Past” (Nobles and Servants in the 17th Century Castle)
Participants, accompanied by a castle guide, not only learn about the castle but also experience the life of nobles and servants through an engaging role-playing session depicting the nuances of life in the 17th century.
- Requires a minimum of 20 adults per group. Advance reservation is necessary.
- Duration: 90 minutes.
II. Special Tour with Castle Guide (Nobles and Servants in the 18th Century Castle)
During this tour, the castle guide not only presents the history of the castle but also acquaints participants with the life of nobles and servants through immersive role-playing activities filled with intrigue.
- Suitable for groups of 10-25 people. Advance reservation is required.
- Duration: 80 minutes.
IV. Self-Guided Exploration with Virtual Guide-Companion
In the castle museum-gallery, there is an interactive heritage learning channel – a virtual guide-companion accessed via tablet computers and QR code system. Scanning the QR code opens texts and animated narratives in Lithuanian and English, providing detailed insights.
The virtual guide-companion is provided free of charge to all visitors who purchase an admission ticket.
