Improvement and development of sustainable tourism offers, products and services, cross-border cooperation links between regions and countries to strengthen the tourism sector. Exploiting the potential of the cultural and creative sectors and natural resources as a means to increase tourist attractiveness, reduce seasonality and move towards sustainable, year-round travel.

Main project objective: to develop guidelines for the European Cultural Route Certificate within 3 years.

During the three-year project, Vilnius Academy of Arts Panemunė Castle will be involved in the project by contributing to one of the four project objectives – international cooperation in the field of youth research and education. The Baltic Manors ROUTE project aims to create a “European Baltic Manors Route” that meets the criteria of the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes Certification, which is widely recognised as a best practice methodology for sustainable and inclusive development of shared cultural heritage. Promoting joint research on the heritage of the estates and educational events for young people lays the foundations for the scientific definition and justification of the route and creates the preconditions for its long-term sustainability.
