
CONFERENCE: HISTORY, CULTURE AND HERITAGE OF MANORS IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

In 2025 April 26 the Conference “History, culture and heritage of manors in Central Eastern Europe” will be held in Panemunė Castle.
The purpose of the conference is to present the latest research results of scientists from various fields who study the history, culture, art and heritage of manors in the Central Eastern European region and to invite an international discussion about the current problems in this field.
Papers will be read on the following topics:
mansion architecture;
estate art collections;
estate library collections;
history and everyday life of manors;
comparative studies of manor culture;
nationalization processes and fate of estates in former communist bloc countries;
the issue of estate heritage protection;
cases, possibilities and perspectives of adapting manors to public needs.
